Advanced Strength & Conditioning

Advanced Strength and Conditioning is included as part of our Certificate IV in Fitness course at the Institute of Health & Fitness.

Overview 

Objectives

Teach students in a safe teaching environment all aspects of advanced strength and conditioning via theory and practical components. A special focus will be on analysing technique, joint actions, biomechanics and muscles throughout power lifts. Students are shown how to identify appropriate teaching methods, conduct various drills and deliver exercise prescription to a training program.

Prerequisites

Certificate III in Fitness (or equivalent qualification).

Class size

Class sizes are kept small, to ensure all students receive individual attention.

Time required

This component of the Certificate IV in Fitness course takes approximately 11 contact hours.

This workshop was developed and facilitated by the Institute of Health & Fitness.

Professional development points accredited

This is KINECT Australia accredited course (KINECT PDP 1198) which can gain participants three PDP. Six points are required every two years under the new professional development program with Kinect Australia.
